What we store in your browser, what is essential, what is optional, and how to change your mind at any time.

1. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small text files a site asks your browser to keep. Similar technologies — local storage and session storage — do much the same job with a different mechanism. We use the phrase "cookies" on this page to cover all of them.

Some of this storage is essential: without it, signing in or remembering a choice simply does not work. Other storage is optional and only used to understand how the site performs or to measure marketing.

2. Our approach

When you first arrive you will see a banner with two equally clear choices: accept all, or reject non-essential. Nothing optional is switched on before you decide, and rejecting is not harder than accepting.

We do not run advertising, cross-site tracking, or behavioural-profiling scripts on this website. The optional category exists so that, if we add measurement later, it starts from a state where nothing is enabled until you say so. Your choice is recorded on your own device and can be changed at any time from the footer.

3. Strictly necessary

These are always active, because the site cannot function without them.

4. Optional: measurement and marketing

Off unless you accept. If you choose "reject non-essential", these stay off and nothing changes about how the site works for you.

Where we manage an advertising account for a client, measurement pixels on a client's own website or landing pages are governed by that client's privacy and cookie notices, not this one.

5. Third-party resources

A few resources on this site are served by other companies. We do not control the cookies those companies set on their own domains, and we cannot block them from within our code.

Google Fonts — typography files requested from Google's font service. Google receives the request, including your IP address, in order to return the font.
Our hosting and content infrastructure — the platform that serves this site and stores our database and private files.

If your browser or an extension blocks third-party requests, the site still works — some typefaces may fall back to a system font.

6. Changing your choice

Use "Cookie settings" in the footer to reopen the banner and change your selection at any time. Your new choice takes effect immediately.

You can also control cookies from your browser: every major browser lets you view, block, and delete stored data, and most offer a private browsing mode that clears it when you finish. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent sign-in from working. Guidance is available in your browser's help pages — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all document their cookie controls.
